Malam Darfur Peace and Development has been actively responding to humanitarian needs in Darfur region over the past two years, addressing issues like famine, food shortages, epidemic prevention, and shelter supplies.

Now, with the increasing number of displaced people moving from Al-Fasher to various areas within the region, especially to Tawila, our responsibilities, along with those of our partners, have grown significantly. This has motivated us to seek ways to increase the amount of food aid provided and to expand our services to include other areas where the displaced individuals have sought refuge in North, South, East, and Central Darfur.

We are thrilled about our strong partnership with AVAAZ, which has enabled us to deliver substantial humanitarian support to the displaced in Darfur over the past few months. In this second phase of our partnership, we are providing larger food aid in a broader geographical scope within the region.

On Thursday November 2025, our team in Tawila has successfully distributed the first batch of food assistance in Dabba Naira area, providing food baskets to 600 families.
