Over 2,500 people from Al Fasher have moved to Balli Seraif village in the Dobo administrative unit, joining the local residents, who number over 2,600.
Both groups have been facing a shortage of food, water, healthcare, and shelter materials, and have not received food aid since their displacement, which has lasted for more than a year and a half.
On January 12, 2026, with financial support from AVAAZ, Malam Darfur Peace and Development (MDPD) provided food assistance to 600 families, marking a significant first for the area.
