On the second day of Ramadan, over 2,500 fasting individuals gathered for Iftar at Malam Darfur Peace and Development kitchen in Abu Shouk neighborhood of Al Fasher

As is customary during Ramadan, places and spaces take on a special meaning at Iftar. As the Health Center in Abu Shouk area, becomes home to Malam Darfur Peace and Development kitchen, it transformed into a large gathering place and social hub for the fasting residents and their neighbors from the eastern neighborhoods.
On this second day of Ramadan, which falls on February 19, 2026, the kitchen provided Iftar for more than 2,500 people, experiencing a notable increase in attendance. There are expectations of even greater participation in the coming days of this holy month.
