The number of people coming to Malam Darfur Peace and Development kitchen in EA Fasher continues to rise at a fast pace. Just one day after serving over 4,000 meals, the number grew to more than 4,400 people on April 10, 2026, at the kitchen’s site in the densely populated Abu Shouk area.
As always, our team and volunteers responded effectively to this growing need by increasing food quantities and ensuring meals were prepared and served efficiently to meet everyone’s needs.
We are also encouraged to see the kitchen space becoming a safe haven for children, providing not only food, but also a place where they can enjoy simple activities in a safer environment.
