MDPD has maintained its support through two community kitchens, which remain the primary source of daily meals for those in need, especially women and children. The growing number of people coming for meals reflects the steady increase in humanitarian needs across the city.
On April 28, 2026, the number of beneficiaries at Abu Shouk kitchen surpassed 5,000 people for the first time, while the mobile kitchen served more than 1,750 people in Abuja IDP camp and seven surrounding neighborhoods.
