Each day, large numbers of residents in Al Fasher rely on Malam Darfur Peace and Development kitchen, located at the health center in Abu Shouk, for food. On March 31, 2026, the kitchen provided meals to approximately 3,250 people in need, joined by others from different neighborhoods who regularly come to receive food.
Alongside the urgent need for food, many people also lack access to basic healthcare services. There is a growing need to open and support health centers to provide essential primary healthcare.
