More than 2,300 people broke Ramadan fast at Malam Darfur Peace and Development kitchen in Abu Shouk neighborhood in Al Fasher

MDPD’s community kitchen continues to provide daily Ramadan iftar meals in different areas across El Fasher, including IDP camps, shelter centers, and residential neighborhoods. On March 16, 2026 (the 27th day of Ramadan), the kitchen reached the densely populated Abu Shouk neighborhood, where it served iftar to more than 2,300 fasting people.

Continuing its humanitarian support to residents of Al Fasher, MDPD’s weekly food convoy arrived on March 15, 2026 (the 26th day of Ramadan) carrying 1,200 food baskets. Of these, 1,000 baskets were distributed to families in Abu Shouk neighborhood, while 200 baskets were delivered to families in Al-Salam neighborhood.
