As part of its continued movement across neighborhoods, displacement camps, and shelter centers in Al Fasher, on May 21, 2026, the mobile community kitchen of Malam Darfur Peace and Development (MDPD) once again reached Al Salam neighborhood, providing a hot meal to more than 1,100 people from the neighborhood and nearby areas.
At the same time, the Abu Shouk Community Kitchen continued operating from its main location, serving daily meals to more than 5,000 people as part of MDPD’s ongoing efforts to support the most vulnerable communities in Al Fasher.
