Malam Darfur Peace and Development Brings Eid Joy to Sudanese Refugees in Kiryandongo Camp, Uganda

Malam Darfur Peace and Development understands how meaningful the joy of Eid is for those who have been fasting, especially children. For more than three years, millions of Sudanese have marked Eid while enduring the hardships of displacement within Sudan and seeking refuge in other countries. In such difficult circumstances, the need for support, solidarity, and care becomes even greater.
On the second day of Eid al-Fitr, March 21, 2026, Malam Darfur Peace and Development organized an Eid celebration for Sudanese refugees in Kiryandongo Camp, Uganda. The event welcomed more than 900 refugees,men, women, and children, in a warm and joyful atmosphere of togetherness. A full meal was served, along with Cookies and sweets, and gifts were distributed to children to bring happiness to their hearts and allow them to share in the spirit of Eid.
