Since launching its response to the urgent food needs in Al Fasher in November 2025, Malam Darfur Peace and Development has remained a primary source of food assistance for the city’s residents. It is still the only local organization providing this support consistently and without interruption. This has created a strong bond with the community, with many residents showing great commitment and even volunteering with a sense of shared responsibility to help sustain this vital service.
On April 25, 2026, Abu Shouk community kitchen provided daily meals to more than 4,950 people, while the mobile kitchen served over 1,850 people in Al Salam neighborhood, in addition to beneficiaries from seven nearby areas.
