On March 7, 2026, the 18th day of Ramadan, Malam Darfur Peace and Development (MDPD) Kitchen continued providing Ramadan Iftar in Al Fasher, hosting more than 2,700 fasting people in Abu Shouk neighborhood.
In addition to residents of Abu Shouk, the kitchen has begun attracting many fasting people from nearby shelters and surrounding neighborhoods. Its Iftar table has become a gathering place for people fasting from across the different blocks of the neighborhood, as well as from Al-Rahma neighborhood and the shelters of Amina Bint Wahb, Zain Al-Abidin, and Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq.
