Malam Darfur Peace and Development Kitchen continues its humanitarian efforts to address the urgent food needs within the main shelter centers in Neyala, the capital of South Darfur State.
On January 22, 2026, with financial support from AVAAZ, Malam Darfur Peace and Development Kitchen served the second meal and provided clean drinking water to 226 displaced families from Al Fashir and surrounding villages in North Darfur.
These meals are a vital source of nutrition for children, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and the elderly, especially considering that 90% of the camp’s population consists of women and children.
