MDPD continues to respond to the urgent need for food among residents of Al Fasher through its various programs, including community kitchens and food baskets. These efforts aim to reach the most vulnerable people in IDP camps, shelters, and in neighborhoods where many residents have recently settled.
On April 22, 2026, the Abu Shouk community kitchen provided daily meals to more than 4,900 people, while the mobile kitchen served over 1,200 people in Al Salam neighborhood and nearby areas.
