On February 24, 2026, the weekly convoy of Malam Darfur Peace and Development arrived in Al Fasher, where it distributed 1,200 food baskets to families in need across the neighborhoods of Abu Shouk, Al-Takaful, Al-Na’eem, Dar Al-Arqam, and Al-Rahma.
Although these food convoys continue to arrive every week, and the MDPD kitchen provides daily meals that support tens of thousands of residents in Al Fasher, the assistance remains insufficient. The city is witnessing a noticeable increase in population, with more families arriving each day, which calls for expanding and strengthening the scale of food support to meet the growing needs.
