The weekly food convoy of Malam Darfur Peace and Development (MDPD) reaches six neighborhoods in Al Fasher, delivering food baskets to 1,200 families.
Malam Darfur Peace and Development continues its efforts to sustain its diverse humanitarian response in Al Fasher and reach as many residents as possible within its available capacity.
MDPD ongoing food assistance efforts have helped build a strong bond with the people of the city, who look forward to the daily support provided through community kitchens, in addition to the weekly food convoys carrying food baskets that provide food assistance to more than 6,000 people for at least two weeks.
On May 12, 2026, the weekly food convoy arrived in Al Fasher and distributed 1,200 food baskets to 1,200 families across six neighborhoods: Al-Wifaq, Al-Shakireen, Al-Masanae, Al-Wahda, Bashair Al-Salam, and Al- Daraga Al- Owla.
