On May 15, 2026, the two community kitchens operated by Malam Darfur Peace and Development (MDPD) continued providing essential daily meals to residents of Al Fasher as part of the organization’s ongoing humanitarian response to growing food needs.
Abu Shouk Community Kitchen provided daily meals to more than 5,000 people, while the mobile community kitchen served over 2,200 people in the Naivasha IDP Camp, helping support vulnerable families and individuals facing severe food insecurity.
