More than 3,800 people are now attending the Malam Darfur Peace and Development kitchen in El Fasher, with expectations of a significant increase in those in need of food

The number of people coming to the MDPD kitchen in El Fasher continues to rise steadily following the holy month of Ramadan. Since Eid al-Adha, the figures have climbed beyond 3,000, reaching over 3,800 people on April 7, 2026. MDPD anticipates that the number of attendees will exceed 4,000 in the near future.
