Women contribute to efforts to preserve the environment and combat the effects of climate change by preserving and expanding fertile land and vegetation. In this context, MDPD established a partnership with Potential Energy to enable women to use an eco-friendly cooking stove that greatly reduces the use of firewood. The eco-friendly cooking stove speeds cooking that consumed women’s time compared to the old-style cooking using the three- stones stoves.
Since livestock is an important source of animal production, including milk, launched a livestock ownership project for women affected by the war. This project provided source of income to those affected by war and empowered them economically.
