We are pleased to announce a significant step forward in humanitarian efforts in the city of Al Fasher, where the Malam Darfur Peace and Development on Tuesday December 2/2025 successfully entered the city for the first time since the control of Rapid Support Forces (RSF). This initiative was made possible with financial support from AVAAZ, enabling the delivery of food assistance to 600 families residing in various shelters across the city.

The areas that received aid include neighborhoods such as Aldaraga Aloula North and the Abuqroon North camp, along with displacement camps like Amna bit Wahab and Alshagara. This humanitarian effort underscores the critical importance of supporting local communities in times of crisis.

Based on our team’s reports and testimonies from the residents of Al Fasher, this assistance marks the first aid provided by a local organization to the city. The residents face several challenges, including:
Water Scarcity:
Residents are struggling to access clean drinking water.
Urgent Medical Services Needed:
There is a pressing need for medical care, particularly for the many injured, elderly, and ill individuals requiring immediate attention.
Food Shortages:
There is a significant lack of food supplies, especially meat, millet and, as well as cooking utensils.
Desperate Need for Shelter Equipment:
Such as blankets and essential supplies to enhance living conditions.
Distribution and Population Increase:
Food assistance was distributed in an area housing around five thousand people, with additional residents in various other locations across the city. According to our team’s reports, the population of Al Fasher is increasing daily as people comes from areas such as Dar Alsalam, Torra, Gabal Wana, and Tabet.

Humanitarian work remains essential to address the needs of residents in Al Fasher. We look forward to continued support and assistance in improving the lives of the local community. We extend our gratitude to all those who contributed to this achievement, and we hope for further collaboration to meet the needs of the population in the future.
