Malam Darfur Peace and Development MDPD has been delivering food assistance in the town of Tawila, alongside other areas within Darfur region.
On Saturday, December 5, 2025, the MDPD provided food aid to 600 families of displaced individuals in Kongara camp, located about five miles east of the Tawila, which houses 800 families.
This assistance is the first for those displaced at Kongara camp since they fled from Al Fasher at the end of October last month.
According to reports from the displaced families to MDPD team, there is an urgent need for more food aid and shelter materials such as tarps, mattresses, blankets, and cooking utensils.
