Saving Lives with Food Assistance …The Humanitarian Efforts in Al Fasher

Malam Darfur Peace and Development continues to provide essential food aid to the residents of Al Fasher, many of whom are spread across various areas within the city.

On December 18, 2025, we successfully delivered our third food aid convoy, distributing food baskets at two centers. At the German Hospital Center in the Abushook IDP camp, we provided 150 food baskets to families serving a total population of 1420 individuals, while at the Women’s Center in Alsalam camp, we distributed 450 food baskets to families, serving a total population of 3,684 individuals.

Despite these efforts, access to clean water remains a significant challenge for the remaining residents of Al Fasher. Many individuals travel long distances to fetch water, and there is an urgent need to repair the water resources damaged by the conflict.

Additionally, citizens are calling for the refurbishment of health centers and the establishment of a supportive environment for children and women, alongside increased protection and the provision of shelter materials.

These efforts mark an important step towards improving living conditions in the city, and we remain committed to addressing the needs of the population as best as we can.
